06:49 pm - The Wednesday Report Today the new merchandiser started, I (of course) don't like her. But not because she's taken my position, but because she's rude, and fat, old, and francophone. She speaks little to no english at all. Wasn't I just fired for not being bilingual? I speak better french than she speaks english. Hypocracy... Anglophones will never get ahead in a quebec company, even if they're bilingual (in my case, I passed their bilingual test with an 80%)
In other news, it's really nice to have Andrew here. I really appreciate having someone who returns the friendship that I give. I mean being there for people when no one else is, isn't a good enough reason for some people to be there for me when no one else is. At least I can say that I've never been less than a good friend to these few people who have let me down... and I hate that I can't get mad either, because the next time they would say anything positive, I would just go on as if it never happened. (Glenn if you're still reading this, you were one of the people who let me down. wanna go for coffee?)
I'm really going to miss Mary when she leaves... Since I'm really sick today, I might just call in sick tomorrow so I can join her and amanda on their surrealife3 binge... I really want to... and if I'm still sick tomorrow I will.
So things as a whole have been getting better in my life, work is great... I am again the top customer service agent at Loomis, it didn't take too long, but not a day goes by when I'm not asked for by name by a customer to give them help. I validate my existance in alot of ways by how useful I am to other people, and for a while after I was demoted for not being Francophone I felt that I had no use to anyone, and at that point I didnt... so I felt like crap. It is my understanding that the whole 'billingual francophones are better than billingual anglophones' thing is unique to Ottawa. I have heard that even in Quebec it is actually the opposite since people with English accents can deal better with the US, the rest of Canada and even Internationally. ![[User Picture]](http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/4590819/963351) | | From: | frankb |

Well it sucks that you are sick, get well soon. :) And I really want to come visit soon, but sadly I've just discovered a potential new problem (nothing major, just really annoying it totally ruined my day, but more later) Anyways, kill Quebec....wait....keep Montreal, destroy the rest...lol |
